Cobble
Responsible use

Download what you have the right to.

Cobble is a tool. How you use it is up to you, and the law is on you.

Last updated November 1, 2026

Fine to download

  • Videos and audio you made or own.
  • Content you have the owner's permission to save.
  • Public domain and Creative Commons works, when you follow their license terms.
  • Anything a site's own terms and local law let you keep a copy of.

Avoid

  • Saving or sharing copyrighted work without permission.
  • Bypassing paywalls, DRM or other access controls.
  • Re-uploading someone else's work as your own.
  • Downloading from a site whose terms forbid it.

Laws differ

What is allowed depends on where you live and where the content comes from. When you are unsure, ask the owner or leave it.

Content on other sites

Cobble does not host, store or share any content. It runs on your PC and saves files only to your PC. A complaint about a specific video belongs with the site that hosts it.
